We still should be able to really delete the element.

What is the use case for this?

Concept Class Diagram: I may want to show already existing related concepts, so I add them to the diagram. Later, the diagram may be too cluttered, so I want to remove them from the diagram without deleting the actual concepts.

What is actually needed is a way to execute this "hide" action. Storing the hidden state and filtering the elements will not be done by the framework.
