I read though the quick start guide, user manual, and cli command reference.
I do not see how to configure an interface to use 802.1q encapsulation as a trunk interface for tagged ports.
What I tried:
Have two SONiC switches connected on Ethernet32. They will be refered to as SONiC-r01, and SONiC-r02
cleared out ebtables entries for Droping 802.1q and ARP forwarding. On both routers.
Added Vlan1.
Remove router interfaces on Ethernet0 and Ethernet32 on each Router.
Have PC connected to Ethernet0 on each router.
Configured Vlan1 on interface Ethernet0 on SONiC R1, untagged
Configured Vlan1 on interface Ethernet0 on SONiC R2, untagged
Configured Vlan1 as tagged on Ethernet32 on each router.
The PCs are unable to ping each other even though they are on the same VLAN
I feel like I am missing a setting to allow for encapsulation, am I?
