I am very pleased to hear that the Spacemesh team is holding a public community assembly. I would like to offer some of my suggestions.
First, as I have mentioned before, a decentralized project needs to balance the ratio between solo mining and pool mining. The current situation clearly shows that large mining pools dominate the majority of the hashing power. This is because they offer greater usability and easier operation. Importantly, mining pools can save on hardware costs and support larger hashing power capacities. In the communities I interact with, most people have turned to mining pools. It is unrealistic to expect new mining pools to compete with these established ones in the future, as this would require enormous resources. This phenomenon needs to be taken seriously by the team. Excessive concentration of hashing power will inevitably affect decentralization and democracy.
Secondly, has the team considered initiating community donations to get SHM listed on a more well-known platform for trading? This would not only improve SHM’s liquidity but also increase its visibility and encourage more people to hold SHM, which would be beneficial for its promotion.
These are my suggestions, and I hope they can provide some useful insights for the development of the Spacemesh project. I look forward to hearing more of your plans and ideas at the community assembly.
Thank you once again for your hard work and your attention to the community.
