My Journey in Open Source

I've been on quite the adventure in the open-source world. Here are some of the highlights:

• Skitter API 🚀: An open-source contribution that started small but became a valuable learning experience. Check it out.

• Nigerian Tech Events 🇳🇬: I'm proud to say I'm a major contributor to this fantastic project.

• epubjs-react-native 📚: I didn't stop there; I added a cool new feature to a React Native library! 🙌 You can look at it here.

• Leech.py 🐍: While it hasn't been merged (yet!), my work on image manipulation with Pillow in Python for Leech.py is a personal achievement I cherish. Please take a peek at it here.

• Expo Docs 📖: I even made Expo's documentation better by fixing a simple typo. Attention to detail, right? 😄 Check out the fix here.

• Dart Docs 🎯: Dart's website got a little tidier thanks to me – I fixed a pesky typo. You can see it here.

• Chrome Extension Docs 🌐: I've been helping out Google Chrome too! I've reported a bunch of bugs and issues on their Extension page. Here's a list of some of them: #5846, #6818, #6819.

• Hanko Docs 🔒: While working on AuthorCraft, I submitted a pull request to the Hanko Docs repository , and it got merged.

Current Projects

What's keeping me busy right now? Well, I'm glad you asked:

FicImage: I've created an awesome Python package called FicImage. It works wonders for updating ePubs downloaded with FicHub. FicImage effortlessly downloads and formats all those missing images. My work on Leech.py actually inspired this project!

CrossRename: I've got another exciting project in the works called CrossRename. It's a tool that ensures your file names play nicely with your computer, whether you're using Linux, Windows, or both. Say goodbye to file name chaos!

AuthorCraft: AuthorCraft empowers writers of all backgrounds to harness their creativity, providing a user-friendly and intuitive platform for crafting ebooks. Building with NextJS, shadcn (TailwindCSS + Radix UI), Hanko Auth, and Supabase Database.

AspectMatic - GitHub Repo: AspectMatic is a Figma plugin for developers that automates aspect ratio calculations. I got tired of calculating the long way so I made a plugin to do it for me. Built with HTML, CSS3, and Javascript/Typescript.

Future Endeavors

While my current setup has some limitations, I've got big dreams for the future. Here are a few projects I'd love to dive into:

• epubjs-react-native: As you might have guessed, I have a soft spot for ePubs. I'd love to contribute more to epubjs-react-native.

• Ebook Reader: I'm hard at work on an exciting Ebook Reader project, and while it's yet to don a catchy name (naming isn't my strong suit, I'll admit 😄), it's brimming with promise. Stay tuned for updates as this project takes shape. Fun fact: My contribution to epubjs-react-native was inspired by this project! 🚀
