Hello there!

I'm Matthieu, coding for 20+ years as a hobby and for 10+ years professionally. My goals? Helping developers as much as I can!

  • I've written a book: Building Your Mouseless Development Environment. I believe that staying on the keyboard save a lot of cognitive energy, instead of switching all the time between your keyboard and your mouse.

  • I'm writing an ambitious book, Learning to Play Vim. The goal is to create a resource where you can learn Vim (or Neovim) from the ground up.

My goal is to create content full time. I would develop more CLIs and TUIs to make developers more comfy on their keyboards, create more videos about the Linux shell on Youtube, and I would write two articles per month (instead of one) for The Valuable Dev: one about mouseless tools and one about another subject (fundamentals in software development, soft skills, learning practices...).
