White-belt novice amateur self-taught programmer, one year into coding journey.
The 2020 pandemic and shutdown brought my gig-economy hustle lifestyle to an abrupt halt. While compelled to spend the year at home, I channeled that hustle into learning a new skill that I never would have been able to learn while hustling so hard. I took advantage of a coding academy's pandemic support program, and devoted my quarantine to learning as much about computer science and programming as I could.
To be honest, the gig-hustle was killing me. I drove a car up to 14 hours per day, and rarely had fun because I had to hustle extra hard on weekends and holidays and around any large event. The motivation to use my quarantine to learn to code was routed deeply in a mortal fear of returning to that lifestyle. I believe that I have a natural inclination towards the kind of thinking required for programming work, and I like working hard.
I want to make myself as useful as possible with as much influence as possible towards a mission I can support emotionally. While web-development stuff is not where I find a lot of passion, I realize that general "website-making" skills are a way to be helpful at a low level, so lately I have been focused on learning all I can about that, and working on a couple small projects.
I would love to be put to use on more projects, anytime.
