Hi!
I'm Aidan, and my main work nowadays is focused on creating tools that make sure Engineering Science students do not need to waste time on busywork.
EngSci Tools
This is an organization that I am co-owner of where anybody can house their open-source tools that help EngSci students. Unfortunately, many of our sites are not just static pages which means I have to pay for hosting. On top of that, I also pay for the storage space required to store lectures so they can be downloaded immediatly. Finally, I pay for the domain, engscitools.ca, so that we can all have a place to easily access all our tools. So, in total, this is how much I pay for hosting our tools:
Service | Cost | Total |
---|---|---|
Hosting | $10/month | $10/month |
s3 Storage | $3/month | $13/month |
Domain | $24/year | $15/month |
Whether or not I recoup the costs of running this organization will not affect whether I continue doing it, but I have got to admit that it would be a big motivator.
Thank you!

SelectYou are supporting 1/12th of this organization, not bad for one dollar a month. At this tier, you will be included in every website hosted on my web server as a "Backer". This includes all EngSci tools as well as some personal projects.
$6 a month
SelectThis is a full half of the costs I want to recover for hosting EngSci Tools. Giving this much is extremely generous and would make sure that all tools stay active. At this tier, you will be included in every website hosted on my web server as a "Key Backer".
$12 a month
SelectWell, that's the entire cost. You basically run EngSci Tools at this point. At this tier, you will be included in every website hosted on my web server as a "True Blue".
