AWK Bot is a general purpose IRC bot for programming communities. The goal of awkbot was to create a programming community bot for the #awk freenode channel which was written in awk. It later evolved to store factoids, keep karma, and implement a pastebin.
Awkbot is intended to be executed directly from the working copy. It depends on the following being present on the system.
- mysql client
- telnet or nc
- mkfifo (1)
