Hmm - that's surprising, I thought we just got 20.04 starting to work earlier today! Even stranger - it shouldn't be calling getuid, only geteuid -- so something has gone very wrong. Can you paste the output of |
Yes, I was using the latest commit e8294e3. It could be something specific to my setup.

I noticed that I had installed |
I think I found a clue for the issue; if my terminal is |
Ah-ha interesting, thanks for tracking it down! I should be able to fix that. To exit try, |
I too am experiencing the same crash. Ubuntu 21.04. Changing my window size does not fix the issue unfortunately :( Here's what I've done. First install pre-requisites
note, I had to install texinfo otherwise binutils build failed Then I run the binutils.sh , grab the lotus files, and run extract.sh
These run fine Then I do this to ensure we're using latest objcopy / ld etc after copying to main directory and renaming ld-new to ld
Then I issue a make clean
Then I run make
Then running the executable i get this
So I try in GDB and get this
Not sure what to try from here. |
Hmm interesting, thanks for the bug report - I'll look around the code and see if I can figure out how that's possible. |
Thanks. On a hunch i also updated Ubuntu entirely from 21.04 to 21.10 but this doesn't make a difference (did a make clean, make - get the same result) |
I looked around a bit, it's possible this was fixed with 1d268c1, could you update to that and try? If not, could you type |
sure thing! i updated then did the commands and got this;
|
Wow, that lcall explains it! Oops, fix on the way. |
It actually uses your terminal color scheme! If you're using gnome-terminal you can try switching to "Green on black" scheme for a more traditional look. Hit / to open the menu, there's a quick start guide here if you want a refresher! I've had a few emails from people saying that after a few minutes of playing around they remember key combinations they haven't used for 30 years lol |
ah ha! great thanks so much, feeling super nostalgic ! |
I am using Ubuntu 20.04 and managed to compile it, however it segfaults right after the initial popup showing license information.
Compilation output:
GDB output:
When using gdb it jumps straight into the
SIGSEGV
.I have tried to uncomment that syscall in
redefine.lst
but then it crashes on another call:Any ideas?
