Sizing of cards - Apex chart custom cards and LCARS

Since updating I've had issues with a number of my Apex charts cards - it is intermittent in that they don't always resize, but many times they resize to make data on the RHS of the card invisible. I thought I had fixed it previously by updating my markdown headers and footers to custom html, but this morning it is still behaving the same way.

Is this anything to do with the new helpers - I set them up, but it's not clear to me from the instructions what they are actually for!!?

I'll need to test the Apex cards as I've not done any development for them.

The new helpers let you set the width/height of the colored bars in headers, footers, and middles. I doubt that they are causing your problems, but you can delete them safely to test. Deleting them will just set revert them to the default sizes in the theme.
