I thought so much of HLDM that I elected to fork Bugfixed and Improved HLSDK so thoughtfully provided by AGHL.ru. I've been proud to call HLDM my home. About Bugfixed and improved HL release

The project was started by @LevShisterov on AGHL.ru in a purpose to replace bugged hl.dll on a server to prevent frequent server crashes. Now it's a lot of fixes and improvements to server and client. Based on HLSDK version 2.3-p3 patched by Metamod team with code from ValveSoftware/halflife and SamVanheer/HLEnhanced.

Client-side changes

  • Bunnyhopping is enabled
  • Raw mouse input using DirectInput
  • Colored HP and AP in HUD
  • Spectator HUD improvments
  • Unicode support for HUD text
  • Custom sprites for death notice (e.g. WeaponMod)
  • Physics dependance on FPS fixed for pre-SteamPipe clients
  • Slowhacking protection
  • Automatic demo recording
  • New scoreboard utilizing VGUI2 library
  • Unicode and HTML MOTD support (VGUI2 builds only, HTML requires server support)
  • And many-many-many bugfixes

Server-side changes

  • Bunnyhopping is enabled
  • Selfgauss can be disabled
  • Welcome camera mode - player is put in semi-spectator mode on connect and can exit from it with MOUSE1
  • Spectator mode fixes
  • Invisible model fix
  • UTF-8 support fixes
  • HTML and Unicode MOTD for bugfixed clients
  • And many-many-many more bugfixes
