Why are some sources preferred by the algorithm instead of others?
Right here we want to show how sources are selected and filtered to appear on your profile.
Do you really receive just what you expect (based on page/sources you like and friends you have) or there is a big amount of feeds you have never asked to see?
Between this amount of feeds it is possible to study which method the algorithm uses to create what Facebook calls 'Recommended for You'.
In a quantitative way we need to analyze the relation between the numbers of people liking a specific sources and the impact of that source on other users. Such as for posts we investigate the quantitative elements making a source more preferable to Facebook.
On the other side a qualitative analysis can give us an insight on which issues are preferred. Are just issues the user is interested about or is the algorithm to decide what the user is interested in?
