Because it use backend and websockets from localhost even that it runs on github pages that don't allow for any backend.

This being said, I have been able to run it on the web repl

Yes because it reference your localhost web socket server.

There is error:

socket.cljs?rel=1464515101440:54 WebSocket connection to 'ws://localhost:3449/figwheel-ws/dev' failed: Error in connection establishment: net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
