Sorry for the late response, I missed your post. The ld thing is a weird issue with silverblue. I work around it here: https://github.com/ublue-os/bluefin/blob/main/workarounds.sh cc @akdev1l as I believe we filed this upstream a while back. |

It seems that for whatever reason, maybe on purpose, but it seems that /usr/bin/ld is not installed at least on the Kinoite base image by default. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem as installing
binutils
package normally would solve this, but in my case when I try usingrpm-ostree
I get the following error:When I use the
--allow-inactive
it looks like it goes through with the installation, but /usr/bin/ld is still missing from my system.This oddity seems to be limited to the ublue image(s) as I can create a Fedora 38 container with distrobox, run
dnf install binutils
