This article explains why it matters: Save UI State - Android Developers

Problem: when I perform this sequence of events the app resets:

Open a screen other than Home (e.g. Settings)
background/foreground app with "Don't Keep Activities" option enabled

Possible solution:

This problem could be due to misuse of the Voyager library
