Steps to reproduce

  1. In !fNWlZfcPCJlXhYmaks:matrix.org, received some messages yesterday. First message was a reply to one of my messages.
  2. Navigate away, see message count still there
  3. Every so often, unread message count in left panel goes red.
  4. Look at the room, unread message count remains the same but goes grey.

Outcome

What did you expect?

Unread count clears for good after I've read the room

What happened instead?

Unread message count in left panels is persistent. Issue present since yesterday afternoon.
