@vcoralic We don't have a way to limit streamlines to a surface and we no longer have LIC-like capability. For this case, it sounds like it may be useful to seed streamlines using a meshed surface instead of one of the implicit seed functions we provide. We also do support FTLE, which can give you an idea of streamline divergence. |

Hi,
I am wondering whether it is possible to plot streamlines (or LIC, though I get the impression that's not implemented) on a boundary/surface? I've done this in the past in ParaView, by creating a skin friction coefficient vector, and using it to propagate the streamlines/plot LIC. Is there similar functionality in VisIt?
