VST3 plug-in not showing

I installed universal plug-in on MacBook Pro M1 with macOS 12.6.1 (Monterey) and Cubase 12 running with Rosetta 2.
In Cubase 12, VST2 plug-in is showing but VST3 is not.

Thanks for the bug report! Sadly, I don't own a Mac, so it's a bit difficult for me to investigate this :(

I installed Dragonfly Reverb universal on my MacBook and so Cubase detected VST3 plug-ins.
Cubase detected only wolf-shaper VST2, but it didn't put in block list. :(

FWIW: In Audacity's pluginregistry.cfg, Wolf Shaper's VST3 version shows up as EffectType=None when Process is expected. (other possible values are Generator, Analyzer and Tool)

Oh, I think you found the issue! The VST3 categories were not set. This should be fixed by e3f2066.

-Cubase 13 running natively on Apple Silicon (ARM64)
But VST3 plug-in is not showing by both DAWs (see the attached screenshots).

Hello! I have a few questions:

• Can you still reproduce this issue with the latest git build? https://github.com/wolf-plugins/wolf-shaper/suites/18107211264/artifacts/1043744554
• Is Cubase 10 able to detect the VST2 version of the plugin?
• Have you tried refreshing the plugin list? Some plugin hosts don't scan for new plugins automatically, it needs to be done manually (not sure about Cubase)

• Cubase 13 detects the VST3 plug-in (release 13 doesn't support VST2 plug-ins)
• Cubase 10 detects both the VST2 and VST3 plug-in
  With the build 1.0.2, I don't see the plug-in after refreshing the plug-in list.
