Calendar View on Mobile Issue #1567
Comments
I have verified this issue on the mobile device and toggle device toolbar. XRecorder_21112023_120203.mp4Untitled_.Nov.21.2023.12_13.AM.mp4 |
The issue is not that it's not clickable. The dots are clickable but with a 7x7px dimensions, it's seriously challenging for users to hit the proper dot due to a too small target size. The W3C standard recommend a minimum of 44x44px. https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/Understanding/target-size.html If you look at TEC calendar view on mobile, you'll see that the days (cell) are clickable instead of the dot for better accessibility. At 575px, their target link is 75x75px vs 7x7px. Once clicked, they display a summary below the calendar where user can select the proper event in a case there's multiple on the same day. |
@mistry-jignesh This is issue related to design, so I am assigning it to @kaushikpokal |
Event Target links of the calendar view on mobile are mostly useless and doesn't meet w3c target link standard.
Target links at max-width: 575px is 7x7px and 12x12px on max-width: 768px causing a serious challenge to put the finger on it.
I believe the whole td should be clickable and either display event preview inside a tooltip or below the calendar similar to The Event Calendar.
Imagine if you have more than one event on same date we'll face a serious issue to click the proper link.
For now, I consider to disable the Calendar view for mobile users.
Thanks
