Is your suggestion related to an experience ? Please describe.
Carbon registry usage is being eliminated in IS [1] due to issues with using the registry. To better support this, we can introduce a light-weight registry module, stripping off all the complex and unnecessary features and retaining only the core capabilities from registry core.

The main idea is to create a module that directly invokes the registry db and produces data in similar formats to the current registry, but without the additional complexities. Similar methods and DO's should be exposed that directly invoke the registry db.
