<h2>Prospective Students</h2>
<p>I am looking for self-motivated PhD students with cs/ee/math/statistics backgrounds joining my group at Oregon State University on reinforcement learning and information retrieval. If you are interested, please apply to our CS or AI degree program and mention my name in your application. Remote internship positions are also available. <h2>Bio</h2>
<p>Dr. Huazheng Wang is an Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Oregon State University. He was a postdoctoral research associate at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Princeton University, hosted by <a href="https://mwang.princeton.edu/">Dr. Mengdi Wang</a>. He received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Virginia in 2021 supervised by <a href="http://www.cs.virginia.edu/~hw5x/">Dr. Hongning Wang</a>, and his B.E. from University of Science and Technology of China in 2015. His research interests include machine learning, reinforcement learning, information retrieval and data mining. His recent works focused on developing efficient and robust reinforcement learning and multi-armed bandit algorithms with applications to online recommendation and ranking systems. He has received the best paper award at SIGIR 2019 and Bloomberg Data Science PhD Fellowship.</p>
