Trilium Version

.50.2

What operating system are you using?

Windows

What is your setup?

Local + server sync

Operating System Version

Win 10 19043.1466

Description

The floating paragraph marker does not stay in its place when scrolling and resizing the left pane:

trilium_2022-02-13_23-47-07

Same for the editor bar when you click the paragraph marker, although not when resizing because the click to resize dismisses it:

trilium_2022-02-13_23-49-38

In my opinion the desired behavior is like the style toolbar does, where it scrolls with the content and even when resizing the left pane. You can see here how the editor bar behaves in comparison to the paragraph marker:

trilium_2022-02-13_23-52-19

Although the above does show an imperfect scroll behavior in the style bar as well, it should dissapear at the point the text of the note does. its quite jarring when it doesnt and scrolls above and even jumps to the side (EDIT the jump is only on my theme, now I have to search why...).

I think I've looked at this before. The problem is caused by the scrolling container, CKEditor normally does that differently AFAIK. But Trilium's scrolling is quite complex because of e.g. the displayed "children overview".

This would require a deeper look.

Could very well be related to: ckeditor/ckeditor5#5460 or ckeditor/ckeditor5#7658
Closing this as a duplicate of #847
