Zowe Explorer Supported Environments

I think we need to discuss and document environments that we fully support.
This will help us in the future for knowing which environments we should possibly test against and help us deal with issues that may arise from users in environments that we don't usually work with and test against.

I know for sure that we test against

1. Windows
2. Mac
3. Theia
4. Ubuntu

We also keep in mind CRW with some squad members testing manually.

• Operating Systems

  • Windows 10+
  • MacOS 10.15 (Catalina), 11 (Big Sur), 12 (Monterey)
  • *nix:
    • CentOS 8+
    • RHEL 8+
    • Ubuntu 20.04+

• Integrated Development Environments:

  • Theia 18+
  • Red Hat CodeReady Workspaces
  • Gitpod
  • GitHub CodeSpaces
  • Eclipse Che
  • VSCodium

• Platform Versions:

  • VSCode 1.43+
  • NodeJS 14
  • Yarn 1.22.10
