Other Details
-
I will be making previous releases of this repo (likely only a v1.0.0) to detail previous extensions that were compatible with the previous version of Spotify and Spicetify
- Updates to this repo / the official repo will utilize semantic versioning
-
I will be updating the README.md file to include links to where v1 and v2 extensions and custom apps can be found in the repo
-
I will be updating the LICENSE.md file to detail that each custom app or extension hosted in this repo falls under the license utilized by the maintainer and to detail what license this repo falls under
-
I've updated the license that this repo falls under. This is a personal license of mine that I've derived from the MIT and BSD-4-Clause licenses.
-
I want to be as transparent to this community as I can. The reasons I've done this follow:
- I've created this license to create an opportunity, credit, and benefit for the open source community if any decide to use it. I believe that this is clear. This license is in no way used to hurt the Spicetify community
- Upon acquisition of this repo by the official Spicetify org, I would like to remain as credited which is what this license details
- This license WILL be adapted and potentially reverted to the previous MIT license (or better suited license) upon transfer to the official Spicetify org
- This license is not to prevent any contributions, discussion, or opportunity of transfer to the official Spicetify org
If you have any questions about this license change, please reach out to me and voice your concerns. This is not meant to deter the Spicetify community in any way whatsoever.
Thanks
- Thank you to @afonsojramos for patiently waiting for this update to officially acquire this repo into the Spicetify org
- Thank you to each contributors who helped this repo grow
- Thank you to each user who has utilized this repo to find a custom app or extension.
- This repo wouldn't be as successful without each individual contributor or user and I am grateful for each of you who helped this repo grow
