Systemlink

Systemlink is work in progress, however several games are working see Netplay Compatibility.

A list of Xbox 360 games that support systemlink can be found here Teamxlink.

Retail Xbox 360 systemlink have a ping limit of 30s therefore a higher ping may result in undefined behavior.

Types of Systemlink

  • Systemlink via Server

Due to the current implementation some parts of net-code is inaccurate and incomplete, this unfortunately causes some games on systemlink to become server dependent. This issue will hopefully be fixed in the future given more time to accurately implement these core net-code functions properly.

You can connect a private or public server with these games and use LAN/VPN for session discovery.

  • LAN Systemlink (Completely offline)

Games that are not dependent on a server are fully operational offline, therefore are easier to setup and should work out of the box on LAN.

Systemlink games that have been tested and confirmed working without a server will be noted in the netplay compatibility page.

Getting Started

If you want systemlink over the Internet you can use one of the following VPNs.

Virtual Network Software:

Discovering systemlink sessions

Systemlink sessions are only discoverable on the same LAN network as host because the session will be broadcasted to each device.

Once you are connected to the same LAN network as host, all players must change the Network Interface to that of the VPN. If you're not using the same network interface you will fail to join the systemlink session.

If you're not using a VPN then ensure the network interface is that of the router such as Ethernet or WIFI.

Netplay->Status

Check the current selected network interface in netplay status.

The default network interface will need to be changed to the VPN.

Netplay->Network Interfaces->Radmin VPN

Note you can only change the network interface while a game is not running.

Netplay->Status

Check the netplay status once again and you should see the network interface has changed.
