Don't show payment method selection when single payment method available

Hi Adyen,
I started working on Drop-In integration.

Is there a way for a mobile app to automatically proceed with payment when there is only one option? (specifically PayPal).
I saw setSkipListWhenSinglePaymentMethod(true) for DropInConfiguration, it works for iDEAL (as it has additional issuer selection), but for PayPal, we still show a single payment method, which is very bad for conversion rate.

From web, there is a configuration - openFirstPaymentMethod which is working great for this case.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. What you mentioned is correct, the skip behaviour only applies for payment methods that need input from the user, which means PayPal and other redirect methods will not work.

There is no discussion currently but I will bring it up again, especially if openFirstPaymentMethod on web already does what you wish for (meaning the user will directly be redirected to PayPal without needing to click any buttons).

Hi again, we just discussed this internally, the behaviour on iOS is the same as on Android. As for web, the openFirstPaymentMethod only expands the payment method and the user still has to click a button, it doesn't really skip the screen and directly go to PayPal (check screenshot). Which means it's the same behaviour as on Android: on both platforms when a user opens drop-in they have to click on PayPal to make the payment. So I think all platforms are in sync on this side.

So if you really need to launch drop-in with one payment method and skip even displaying it, I suggest you use Components since it does exactly what you need, and gives you even more control.
