Introducing

Basic information about the Beauty Patterns (BP) platform is available on the database website in the About section.

Technical implementation

The general database model is described in a separate document.

Individual records in BP are stored as Drupal Nodes and grouped by type into Content Types. The database contains the following Content type: Tkanina

Files (images in JPG, PNG, PSD and TIF formats) are stored as Media entities in the repository. Media entities are subsequently attached to individual Nodes.

URIs of the individual objects: https://www.beauty-patterns.org/en/node/[id]

Indexing and searching

Basic information about browsing and searching options can be found in the Help section of the database website.

The platform contains indexes:

Fabric index (indexes all records of type Tkanina).

The content of the BP is described on the database pages in the Help section.

Terms of use

The Beauty Patterns platform contains works made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. All documents are freely available and may be used in accordance with the license.

Metadata

BP stores metadata in Drupal Fields. Each record type has a defined list of corresponding Fields. When exporting metadata in the Dublin Core (DC) schema, these Fields are mapped to DC schema elements.

The complete BP metadata schema is in a separate file.
