TWTM has floor mounted cube "builders," so this functionality will help when the TWTM style is developed.
I'd like to suggest wall and floor mounted variants of cube droppers. Wall variants would eject a cube straight outwards, and floor variants would eject a cube upwards (by a single voxel).

This would be a good idea, I can't use the gel trajectory feature though.

Aerial Faith Plate trajectory?

just make it shoot out the cube like a cannon

I can't use either, it'd probably just get thrown out a short distance, or drop directly out.

the floor one would have to shoot out at a random angle so it doesn't go back in the tube...

If it's thrown high enough, the door would close before it has a chance to enter the cube again. Alternately, it would shoot the direction that the HANDLE 4 POSITIONS is facing.

In TWTM the cube shoots upwards a voxel after being assembled. It lands on the assembler after it has been deactivated. Only in one case. They don't usually drop in-game, but the cube in Clean should still fling up and land on the dropper. See issue #1305 in regards to a TWTM style cube builder. This should still be a feature of regular droppers, but TWTM droppers work differently and are used in different puzzles and should thus be a separate item.
