Some of the tests might fail if values written by the test get persisted to the DOOCS config file or the spectrum files (in the hist directory) from a previous run. In case of spectra, even rebuilding the cache does not help, since the spectum files are initially not present (one has to delete the hist folder).

I don't see this when I repeatedly run the tests, or the referenceServer for a while until the conf-file is being updated. How can I reproduce this?

Just happened to me again. I will fix it as part of #59, because it has similar symptoms.
