  • Read through relevant parts of the book Structured parallel programming: patterns for efficient computation.
  • Discovered the OSTI.GOV website and began looking through it for relevant performance portability articles/documents. Found a meeting report from a 2016 performance portability conference. I believe this will make for a good source.
  • Discovered two podcasts discussing the subject. Started listening through both. Haven't determined if they can be cited.
  • Began writing the first draft of the Wikipedia article. The lack of resources dedicated to this subject made it difficult to write easy-to-understand summaries, but I believe I've got a good foundation for several topics.
  • Encountered a potential issue. I discovered that the Wikipedia approval process for new pages can be a bit lengthy. I'll need to tell Mike and get my first article approved soon if I want this thing published.
  • Will finish the first draft of my article by tomorrow. Need to make sure I'm on the right track.
