Since JupyterHub 2.0, installed via the latest version of puppet-jupyterhub, jupyterhub use jupyterlab as a single user appplication instead of Jupyter Notebook. This means that / redirects to /lab instead of /tree.

Also, the JupyterLab terminals api does not recognize the /terminals/new endpoint, and instead the new terminal name must be stated directed after terminals like this: /terminals/1.
