Poster Designers #95
Comments
Or, just design something ourselves and print it. |
I could do it. Like, let's talk this week, have some ideas, and I can deliver one or two designs next week. |
@mateusnroll awesome. We haven't really cemented any ideas yet. This project is on the back burner right now, but if you want to start putting together ideas post them in this thread. I also have to mention that we have no plans for printing right now, so I'm not sure on timeline. |
@GarthDB Allright. I have thought about it and having a poster for each of the 6 items in the manifesto seems a good idea. I'll fork the repo and make a pull request when I finish the first one, which should be later this week (I hope). Let's see how that goes from then on. |
Sounds good, but you don't need to fork the repo to design posters. There isn't anything related to the posters in the repo. I would recommend designing the posters in whatever application you prefer and post it in the comments of this thread. — On Mon, Oct 27, 2014 at 12:29 PM, Mateus Pinheiro

As we've been working through the homepage redesign, we've condensed and clarified the manifesto a bit.
We've distilled it down to something like this:
Priorities and wording can still be changed if anyone has input.
I think these points could make fantastic posters. Which spawns another idea: what if we contracted 7 print designers to each design a poster?
We could determine printing costs to make a limited run (maybe 100-250) and run a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds to cover print and design. The rewards for the funding levels could be small prints of the poster, or stickers, or something like that.
Here are some designers I was thinking.
It's a big project/idea. I would love any input or feedback.
