SIBO has a class for Dispersal, which has no text definition and a dubious subclass axiom connecting it with Foraging.

Ideally, this class' definition will be generalised to all organisms allowing ECOCORE to import it; however, we can create our own term if this is meant to be used for insects alone.

PS: how does this relate to NBO?

Is this dispersal - the quality of an organism to disperse itself

OR

dispersal - the process by which an individuals are dispersed?

New Term: dispersal

Potential definitions:

  1. process that moves individuals, seeds, or spores from their natal or parental site to their breeding site or from one breeding site to another

  2. process that moves individuals, seeds, or spores and has the potential to lead to gene flow

Subclass of Biological Process

@pbuttigieg @cmungall Any thoughts?

This seems to duplicate PopulationAndCommunityOntology/pco#33, which builds off of EnvironmentOntology/envo#270. Do we want the dispersal terms in ECOCORE instead of PCO?
