As reported in #380, newer versions of libgit2 segfault with the current 0.13 version of git2 that is used by cargo-deny, but this is fixed (for now... rust-lang/git2-rs#817) by bumping to 0.14. However, libgit2-sys is an FFI wrapper with links and thus can only have 1 version, and we rely on several other dependencies that are still on the old 0.13 that we have to wait on.
