What is the log.config and why do I need it?

The log.config tells Hearthstone to enable certain logs, which allow HDT to gather information about the game.

Unless HDT promted you to read this page or someone linked it to you directly, you probably don't need to worry about this. HDT usually takes care of it automatically.

How to set it up manually:

  1. Go to %LocalAppData%/Blizzard/Hearthstone. (Paste that path in the run dialog - Win+R to open)
  2. Open (or create) the log.config file with any text editor.
  3. Replace the content with this.
  4. Restart Hearthstone.
