Caution
When updating from Foundry v10, make sure to uninstall v10 before installing v11.
Because Foundry V12 is out, many modules have updates that are for v12 only that will prevent Foundry from automatically to the latest v11 compatible version. If is says an update requires a newer Foundry version, try uninstalling and reinstalling that module. This will grab the latest version compatible with v11.
If a module has a yellow background on its version number, that means it's not marked as compatible with v11 and may no longer be receiving updates. If you have problems, start by disabling these modules and see if the issue goes away.
More Coming Soon™
Check out PilotNET's pins in #lancer-vtt, it has a bunch of random guides.
We recommend the Foundry VTT Knowledge Base and Encounter Library for a non-Lancer guide to Foundry if you want to learn about everything it can do.
There are system tours in the Game Settings tab under the Tour Management button.
Check out the Recommended Modules page.
My recommendation: Just make a throwaway world, open it up, and start messing around. We tried to make it as intuitive to use as possible so you should be able to figure out the Lancer-specific stuff. You can always got to PilotNET with any questions you may have!
After importing an lcp with npc data, the Premade NPCs compendium will have a basic npc for each class that you can import and customize by dragging and dropping features and templates.
If you want to build them from scratch, check out the brief guide here.
Use the Hex Size Support module. After installing, make sure it's enabled for your world.
More details can be found on the HSS page.
There are several great modules for that that do slightly different things:
When you create a new world and log in to it for the first time, the system will prompt you to install the latest core Lancer data. This will create compendiums that contain all player-facing data from the core rulebook, such as core frames, systems, and weapons. All non-core Lancer data, including core NPCs, data from The Long Rim, and data from No Room For A Wallflower, must be added to the system manually by importing the associated LCP files within the Lancer Compendium Manager, which is found in the Compendium tab of your world, directly below Create Compendium.
For a quick walkthrough, check out the LCP tour in Tour Management.
Ensure you're running Foundry v11.315. The LANCER system isn't available for Foundry v12 yet.
I use Isometric and when I hover over a token it expands and fills the map / [insert other Isometric issue].
You'll need to update to the v11 version of the isometric module from grape_juice's discord.
Encounter Library has a video on how to have multiple foundry installs on one computer: How to Safely Try Foundry Prototypes
Probably worth checking out the Foundry Knowledge Base.
