How to set an instrument?

Hello everyone,

I'm using fluidsynth via command line and I can list all the instruments available as follows:

> inst 1
000-000 Rhodes EP
000-001 Rhodes Bright
000-002 Slow, Light,Tremolo
000-003 SLT Bright
000-004 Slow, Heavy,Tremolo

How do I select an instrument from that list?

I found the answer. I can select the instruments by changing the program on my midi controller (not the midi channel).
