A Firefox extension that lets you add a custom per-window title. Useful if you like to have topically themed Firefox windows.
Window Titler adds prefix to the browser's system window title bar. Please note the title bar is disabled by default in Firefox but can easily be enabled. The added prefix can be seen in the system's task switcher as well.
You can invoke Window Titler simply by pressing its toolbar button or by using the shortcut: Ctrl-Alt-T.
- Enabling the title bar: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customize-firefox-controls-buttons-and-toolbars
- Tick the "Title bar" checkbox in the customisation screen.
If you want to keep the title bar & move the tabs to the sidebar:
- Tree Style Tab: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tree-style-tab/
- Hiding the tab bar: https://superuser.com/questions/1261660/firefox-quantum-ver-57-how-can-i-hide-the-horizontal-tab-bar-with-treesty
- The "Access recently closed tabs" permission is required to keep the window titles persistent across the browser restarts.
