Q1: Why does Synthesizer V (SV) opt X-SAMPA for Mandarin Chinese, but easier comprehensible forms for English and Japanese?

A1: SV is developed in 2018 by Chinese software engineer Kanru Hua native to Mandarin Chinese, who founded Dreamtonics in February 2019 to maintain it. The forms for English (ARPABET) and Japanese (ROMAJI) actually debutted in Sinsy, which in turn accepts PINYIN format for Chinese.
