documentation for recovery file is wrong #102

Check the documentation references for recovery. It indicates that the full path is required, but the code would imply that it is not. Check this. Could be a bug in the code or stale docs.

Recovery doc corrections and update mode added.
6727d1b 
Corrected the documentation for the recovery file to clear up the fact
that only the file name is needed and added in the docs for the new
update mode.
