v0.3.2
Description
- Restructured files and folders into defined versions.
- Removed ability to change gain or actinic intensity through code. Will return in the future but in its current form it was too unstable.
- Use files under the "v0.3" folder as this represents the stable release.
Note
- More changes to firmware to come to account for the changes made to the detection and excitation circuitry.
v0.3.1
Description
- Restructured files and folders into defined versions. Use version 0.3 as this is the current stable release.
- Added further information about the device gain (sensitivity)
- Changed the firmware to make it easier to setup and change the saturation pulse length
v0.3
Electronics:
- Dynamically adjust sensitivity of detection (four levels) using a CMOS switch
- Dynamically adjust actinic brightness (four levels) using a CMOS switch
- LED's can now be swapped easily with a screw terminal
Models:
- Magnetic LID for cuvette housing
- Improved fit of device into 3D printed architecture
- Removed filter slot as it is not needed anymore
Firmware:
- New firmware that can read at a maximum rate of 2.5 μs per acquisition
- Added wave acquisition type measurements
- Reformatted code into individual classes based on their use
Software:
- Plotting of experimental values is now done through plotly
- Settings can be changed from within python scripts
- Data is now captured as a .csv
Other:
- Updated the user manual
- New logo
v0.2.3
Minor additions and alterations:
- Updated 3D model with new LED cover and Lid for the MainFrame
- Updated BOM to include some missing minor components
- Updated Readme documentation
v0.2.2
Minor additions and alterations:
- Added the ability to calculate basic chlorophyll fluorescence parameters from the serial monitor
- Improved the readability of the
Teensy.ino
program - Added comments the
Teensy.ino
program - Adjusted the
README.md
file to document these changes
Open-JIP v0.2.1
Minor Fixes:
- Change gerber format from .pdf to .gbr for proper exporting to PCB manufacturers
- Updated some spelling in the README.md file and added a list of specifications
Open-JIP v0.2
This release utilises the same circuitry as used in a recent publication with Open-JIP configured as a flow-through fluorometer. There are a number of changes to the form and functions of Open-JIP that improve both its reliability and its accuracy.
Updates are as follows:
- Teensy microcontroller - for increased memory size (longer acquisitions) and increased speeds (more data points during the fast rise of chlorophyll fluorescence).
- Circuit board re-design - surface mounted (SMD) components and new amplifier/actinic circuitry.
- Integrated mirrors - to direct emitted photons to the detector.
- New 3D-printed case - no glue needed but can be added to improve robustness. Provides a steady platform upon which measurements can be taken.
- Improved documentation - should allow new users to feel comfortable creating the device from scratch.
Open-JIP v0.1
