Processing of a generic flow

Legend:

  • Satosa is composed of the SALM-IdP/OIDC-RP, Request plugins, Response plugins and SAML-SP/OIDC-RPparticipants
  • SP/RP, OP/IdP and External services are external entities
  • External services is a group of possible services represented as one participant
  • The top part is the processing of a request, color-coded in pale-yellow
  • The bottom part is the processing of a response color-coded in pale-blue
  • Parts of the processing is color-coded in pale-red
  • There can be multiple Request and Response plugins in a chain; each calls the next (not exactly a loop)
  • Solid arrows represent the core transitions
