Are we interested in replicating 7.x's beloved newspaper issue browse interface:

Views. We'll use views.

If you build it I'll probably use it.

(Newspapers is on our local TODO for this Spring but we haven't discussed UI for it at all.)

Views are a gimme, but it's more the UI I'm wondering about. If SFU redoes it, it probably won't be by Spring but will need to be part of our larger migration project, which will not likely come to a close until near end of life for 7.x. No project plans so far, only discussion about cleaning up metadata in prep for migration.

We also have an interest in this, and unless the new UI has an improvement I can sell I imagine we'd want to maintain the existing.

Though in our case the existing UI is customized so that it uses Ajax to pull the issues of all newspapers except the first year when you click the tab.

Huh. I assumed the Javascript UI is generated by https://github.com/Islandora/islandora_solution_pack_newspaper/blob/7.x/js/islandora_newspaper.js but... it's not? @whikloj do you know where I should be looking if I want to start hacking around on this?

Hi, I'm curious about the status of this. We would be interested in maintaining the current UI or seeing if there are any improvements to it. Thank you!

At the moment, the install profile provides a very similar accordion functionality:
