Problems with the space bar

Good morning,

I have a problem I don't understand and hopefully, it's known allreaday: During editing in the editor window, pressing the space bar doesn't give a space but a return to the 1st letter of a line. I guess it's only a settings problem? I've a German keyboard and layout.

I'm working with the latest development version (18.01), but since a couple of months, I've observed this problem and I appreciate any help on this.

indeed, that bug has already been reported: #3471 #3622 So far, we don't have a fix for it.

To fill in some information that might be useful: What kind of operating system are you using?
