In short, the reference images feature is not good for larger references, often they spawn with the corners unreachable, meaning it is impossible to scale down the image, I am here to present a few additions to remedy this issue.
1 ) In the reference image properties popup, you can find 2 boxes, labeled Size. The Size boxes are cool and all, but you have to change them manually, and usually that distorts the image, especially since reference images are often odd numbers. I suggest that either;
A Ratio Lock toggle [X] is implemented, locking both numbers together and scaling them according to one. A good example of this is if you were to increase the number sixteen to thirty-two in the ratio 16:9, the number nine would then increase to eighteen without more user input.
A Scale feature is implemented, it's similar to the Ratio Lock feature, but it doesn't scale according to a user changing a number, it would instead be a slider. <-----------------O----->
2 ) The ability to crop a reference image would be invaluable, either something like the knife tool, allowing us to make cut points on it to crop only a specific shape (as well as a toggle to invert this selection), or an 8 point drag system, one point in each direction of the image that you can drag to your preferred size (of course, this would require that your corners are accessible in the first place.)
3 ) Please increase the area in which we can move a reference image, or remove the border altogether, the main reason I can't access the corners to scale my references is because either end is at the border of the reference image containment area, thus the corners are inaccessible.
4 (Unrelated to issue) Please make the hitbox of reference images rotate along with it. When rotated, a reference image's hitbox doesn't follow the image, this makes it annoying to move or otherwise interact with it. I'm exaggerating a bit, it's not actually a horrific inconvenience, it's just jarring.
5 ) The ability to flip reference images would be great, both horizontally and vertically.
Thank you for your time, Jannis.
