Should this be backported to 1.8 as well to make the docs consistent with the command line help?

Thanks. It was added to julia --help but I missed this part of the docs.

Maybe there could be a way to automate this and avoid mismatches again?

A challenge is that the help message is a constant in the C source code, so harder to access from Julia, and getting the formatting and tabular format is also tricky. Anyway, that's beside the point of this PR. Thanks @philbit for your contribution!
