Pathfinding Editor Basics and Examples
This is a tutorial on how to use the Pathfinding Editor, and is based on editing things in ME1. The other games should be pretty similar minus where meshes and textures are located but the other games have it much easier in editing a level.
In Mass Effect 1 we have six different types of package file that are included in the file name:
ART - meshes and their lighting (includes lighting and volumetric spheres)
DSG - pawns, level events, conversations, maybe clickables (can also include doors and their buttons but depends on level)
LAY - level layout (includes meshes, lighting, and doors/useable buttons)
CIN - cinematics that take place in game (not covered by this tutorial)
SND - sound effects (door noises, air, wind, etc)
LOC - includes dialogue in each language (usually imported into DSG file of level)
