This first official release of modleR marks the end of a long-term development phase (2015-2023!) where the package used packages sp, rgdal and rgeos. These packages will become unavailable from CRAN after October 2023. This version suggests package sf; therefore, some functions might work after this period, but the package is expected to stop functioning.
A second version of the package will migrate modleR to the new RSpatial framework. I am still exploring how straightforward this migration will be.
