The software in this NCEPLIBS repository and an associated repository, NCEPLIBS-external, satisfies the library dependencies for the UFS Weather Model and the UFS Medium-Range Weather Application.
NOTE: The libraries in NCEPLIBS-external must be built before the libraries in NCEPLIBS.
See this link for an explanation of which platforms and compilers are supported. This will help to determine if you need to build NCEPLIBS and NCEPLIBS-external, or are working on a system that is already pre-configured. On pre-configured platforms, the libraries are already available.
See the NCEPLIBS-external wiki for a overview of what NCEPLIBS-external and NCEPLIBS contain, how they relate to each other, and how to build them. The wiki will point you to a set of platform- and compiler-specific READMEs in the NCEPLIBS-external repository doc/ directory. Those READMEs have instructions for building NCEPLIBS-external, NCEPLIBS, and the UFS Weather Model. That may be all the documentation you need to build NCEPLIBS.
If your system is not included there, there is a more generic README for building NCEPLIBS at the top level of this repository that may be helpful.
