WARNING: Do not flash any custom firmware before backing up your SPI memory.

SPI memory backup

Use the RT-890 flasher available here: https://github.com/OEFW-community/radtel-rt-890-flasher

The "Backup SPI" button is used to make a backup of the 4MBytes SPI flash on the RT-890. It is recommended to do this step before flashing any OEFW firmware on your radio as it can be easily restored later.

Instructions

  1. Boot your RT-890 as you normally would, make sure the programming cable plug is pushed all the way in.
  2. Press Backup SPI and select a destination folder.

If you have problems with the "Failed to open port" unplug the cable from your PC, and plug it in again.

SPI memory restore

SPI backups can be restore to the radio using the CLI restore tool available here: https://github.com/OEFW-community/RT-890-SPI-Restore-CLI
